The study renewed an old place building, adding new concrete volumes and updating and defining both the facade and the interior, and the design of the exhibition furniture for the woman centered store.

Tigre's daughter is directed by a mother and her two daughters, and has the idea of enhancing multigenerational female empowerment.The existing building had already gone through several remodeling.Ken workshop added new elements, which include an external elevator core and staircase, colored coding, using both the new and old colors, to give it a homogeneous and playful appearance to the building, thus creating a colored game throughout the day.

The company cleaned some of the facades to give the building a cleaner and more defined appearance, reflective and window covers were also added to hide storage areas.Bright colors were used, inspired by Latin architects.

Luis Barragán and Ricardo Bofill, created a fresh tropical atmosphere that reflects the context of Costa Rica, the millenary clientele of the brand and merchandise itself.

According to the co -founder and director of Workshop Ken, Inés Guzmán, “The facade is a consequence of the context.Until very recently, the suburbs of San José were farmland.Today these are closed communities of houses and shopping centers.For us, the project was an opportunity to which the building stands out and provides a fresh, modern and colorful atom atmosphere and break with the standard palette of new constructions that you see around you «.

The floor, dedicated to home decoration, accessories and gifts, is aerated and white, and has a mosaic floor made of ceramic fragments.The second level, dedicated to casual and basic clothing, is defined by a neutral palette and handmade materials, including soft geometric soils of two pink tones, sand stucco walls and textural accents, such as a curtain ofthread and a dark green velvet sofa.«The third floor is more dynamic and designer oriented, where customers receive special attention.The elements of the space are curvilinear and female, but with a bold design, ”says Guzmán.Striking black and white terraz.Personalized carpentry in dark honey tones is consisting of the three levels.
