Two years after the start of the pandemic, 2022 seems to be a year of light and renewal. For this reason, different brands have defined the colors that will be a trend in design and decoration.

From Comex and Sherwin Williams to Pantone's predictions, these hues are symbols of tranquility, reconstruction and optimism.

neutrals

Grounded neutrals are one of the big trends according to the Sabor palette by Comex and Metido by SherwinWilliams, promoting spontaneity and simplicity to inspire new forms of personalized expression.

Blue

Various shades of this color are part of the Profundo palette by Comex and Ephemera by Sherwin Williams, since blue is associated with contemplation, spirituality and freshness.

Green

Coral

Coral color as well as shades ranging from soft orange to brown are part of Comex's Sabor palette, as well as Sherwin Williams' Epehemera and Opus, which stimulate fun, self-expression and learning.

Pink

Empathy, expression and compassion are the qualities of the pink and red tones that can be seen in the Embrace palette by Comex, as well as Opusy Dreamland by Sherwin Williams, which invite to create community.

neons

Blue, purple, green or orange... neon tones are part of Comex's Stellar palette, as well as one of Pantone's great bets. These tones help us break out of mundane reality to find innovation, exploration, and optimism.

What will be the color of the year 2022?

Different bets exist for the color of the year. While Comex bets on Nectarine 317-02, a shade of orange that symbolizes rebirth and creativity, Sherwin Williams has defined Evergreen Fog, a greenish gray tone, as a symbol of transformation, renewal and calm for this year.

However, we're still waiting for the biggest color reveal: Pantone of the Year, which is usually announced in early December.
