From the first chapter entitled the meeting to the last, Dies Irae, nine paths to tour "The strange case of Hermann Klein", beginning of the Steinberg Series policeman: a creation with traditional elements of the genre with several peculiarities as a total of seven cases, eachone located in a different country with conditioning assets and does not mere landscape illusion.The author is the Spanish Javier Quirce, and has published the first two.After "the strange case ..." A city where everything is possible, a secret report, a book that will change the world.The prestigious and not little conflicting Juan Steinberg, of convulsive and dark past in Barcelona, receives a commission of the mysterious Insel society.One of his partners has disappeared with information from his last project, the construction of a pyramid in Kowloon.

A promising beginning that quickly assumes the throbbing heart of a conflict with deep roots, and then introduced into the atmosphere of mystery and suspense:

«On the night of August 23, 2019 Juan Steinberg dreamed that he crossed a maze and that a group of men dressed in black persecuted him.One of them wore a knife.At the same time they woke up.With the metallic taste of sleep still in the mouth and with agitated breathing, Steinberg remained in the dark and silent for a few minutes, lying on his back.Shortly after he climbed the blinds and the red, green and yellow lights of Hong Kong entered the window giving the hotel room an almost religious atmosphere.

After a while he lit the light and went to the bathroom to wash his face.He took out the box containing a syringe and a small bottle of transparent fluid, prepared an injection and applied it on the left arm.A feeling of peace invaded her body while passing a cotton through the puncture.

Still with tired eyes and full of sleep, he looked in the mirror of the sink and, as he did every morning in Barcelona, smoked a cigar in silence.She enjoyed that moment in the first hour in the big city, before everything was filled with people.

He took a shower and dressed in a navy blue suit, white shirt and brown shoes and looked at the empty streets from the window.It was seven in the morning.She took a card from her American pocket: the paper was gray and a circular logo printed around a pyramid.Penative, he spent a finger on his surface and felt his texture and the relief of his lyrics.With her in his hand, he recalled the call he received a few days before while he walked along the Paseo del Espolón, near his attic in front of the cathedral.The morning in Burgos was sunny, although fresh, and a friendly voice of a woman summoned a meeting in Hong Kong:

"We need your help in an urgent issue related to our society, Mr. Steinberg," he informed after presenting himself as Amanda Lee.Do not worry about conditions, it will be very well rewarded.

The reading follows the steps of a unique character who, comfortably retired from the action, returns to it willing to total delivery: «The night flight was long and heavy: he could hardly sleep, uneasiness for the work he expected.He arrived on the island with the first morning lights and crossed the huge bridge from Lantau to Hong Kong Island, listening to the sound of the wheels against the asphalt and enjoying the vision of a multitude of buildings in the background.On the way he felt that he floated, as if everything had been written and drawn by a God who knows and forgives everything and there was no possible escape.

A hard guy who travels with a Bible and usually pray from knees before starting each job.Juan Steinberg breaks from the beginning with the topics of the cynical researcher shattered emotionally.The unusual thing about being a believing Christian is just a small part of a well -nourished escalation of surprises.

Javier Quirce Sevilla was born in Burgos in 1980. After graduating in Law from the University of Burgos and an Erasmus scholarship at the University of Mannheim, he made a master's degree in marketing and foreign trade with the ESIC Business School in Valladolid in 2007. He has resided in Germany, Barcelona and Valladolid, and after developing their professional career in several marketing positions and commercial direction in several wine wineries and traveling to more than twenty countries, currently resides in Burgos where he continues to write more cases for the Steinberg series. He speaks English and German and has a YouTube channel where he comments movies, books and music. Passionate about cinema, music and literature, he currently collaborates with different media for the promotion of the Steinberg series. His works mix reality and fiction, with different genres that range from the black novel to science fiction, historical or fantastic, and are based on a case to be resolved in a different city per book, with abundant literary, musical and cinematographic references .
