Xalapa, Ver.- (Vanguardia de Veracruz).- The head of the Ministry of the Environment (Sedema), Juan Carlos Contreras Bautista, reported that a program will be implemented to guide and encourage carriers and car owners to to carry out the vehicle inspection.

They will coordinate with the General Directorate of Public Transport of the state of Veracruz and in this way be able to expedite the entire process for verification.

And he said that he has this entire semester to comply with this government provision to avoid polluting emissions into the environment from the main cities of the state.

There are a minority of those who fail to comply with these measures, but there are complaints and they must be addressed, "because everyone must pass the vehicle verification, both public transport and individuals."

All motorists should check their vehicles: Sedema

He explained that this determination should not abide by any model of the vehicle in particular, but that the standard establishes that it must be met by emissions.

“We are not the authority to be able to say which models are yes and which models are not, however, through the norm that regulates the emissions of pollutants, which establishes their ceiling and if they exceed the pollutants, logically they are not creditors to the benefit of the license plate exemption,” he said.

The state official said that the owners have gone to the offices for the citations "and they are beneficiaries as they are free plates, as long as they are up to date and are going to carry out the verification."

For January and February it is for plates with endings 5 and 6 "they are in the period to carry out the verification".
