Mexico City.- Minnie Mouse's red dress with white polka dots is a Disney classic, but now it will change to celebrate gender equality. After almost a century of wearing the same outfit, the Disney mouse will finally have a change of look.

This was announced by the Disneyland Paris team, who will reveal the final result in one of the amusement park's botargas in honor of her 30th anniversary.

The French branch of the 'Happiest Place in the World' will be the one to show off the renewed appearance of this character.

And it is that this turns three decades in March, the Month of the History of the Woman, for what they decided to put, for the first time in her history, pants and a jacket to Minnie.

The new Minnie Mouse outfit was designed by the talented Stella McCartney, daughter of singer-songwriter Paul McCartney. Although it is a radical change, it maintains a very distinctive element of the style of the beloved little mouse.

It is about the polka dots and the lines that on this occasion have a darker shade of blue than the suit, instead of white, which, without a doubt, maintain a connection with her previous outfit that has 93 years of characterizing Minnie.

In an interview with D23, the official Disney fan club, the 50-year-old designer said she was "delighted" with the opportunity, which she described as "a symbol of progress for a new generation."

On the creative process behind Minnie Mouse's new outfit, McCartney said:

The new Minnie Mouse costume will not be the only one we will see among the emblematic characters of 'The house of the mouse', because in a promotional video other original outfits for the occasion can be seen.

Even the little mouse herself also has a new dress. However, the news that she will wear a suit made up of a jacket and pants for the first time is one that tries to show a message of gender equity, which is why it went viral.
