On September 21 we will start the new spring summer 2022 season and that makes us optimistic, always. The end of 2021 and the start of 2022 fills us with desire to leave so much confinement behind and feel free again.
Fashion is a great language of expression, which is why the spring-summer 2022 trends invade us with vibrant colours, surprising combinations and renewed cuts. But attention, there is something for all tastes.
Those classic garments that we love because they always get us out of trouble should not leave the wardrobe: sustainability is also in fashion and that means that the replacement at all costs is giving rise to more intelligent and long-term purchases.
1. The colors
Intense, cheerful and bright. These are the colors that are going to dye the stores. The first place goes to "orchid pink", an elegant magenta suitable for all ages. The blues are back with everything: a medium and avant-garde indigo and another more classic and oceanic are the versions for this season. All three, ideal for cold popsicles. What do we have for warm skins? The ocher and the marigold tone are refined and flattering oranges and the yellow in different shades will not fail to illuminate the streets. Green in all its variants will be one of the great surprises. 2. Comfort is still a trend
The "home office" gave way to "lounge wear" and maximum comfort acquires a sexy touch with the desire to go out. The waist is marked and the whole silhouette begins to insinuate itself more. Clothing and footwear with a sporty imprint are still part of the daily wardrobe and this season they are updated with futuristic details and metallic textures.
3. Knit and crochet fabrics
As in autumn and winter, knitted fabrics ceased to be exclusive to sweaters to continue being part of dresses, skirts and jogger pants. The novelty is crochet, synonymous with summer and hippie life. The "handmade" details such as fringes, embroidery or painted will be the protagonists.
4. The "cut-out" and bare backs
We all know what looks good on us, showing and revealing the skin through geometric cuts in all kinds of garments is not exclusive to the daring. We can see them at the height of the abdomen or on the hips for the youngest, but also on the shoulders or chest for all ages. Tops and dresses with bare backs are also on the rise.
5. The bodice as the only garment
Yes, we are no longer talking about a tiny crop-top but directly about a bodice that will be the center of attention. Without transparencies and in materials with more body and urban style, we will see them on skirts, pants or shorts. Accompany them with a blazer? Only for the most timid!
6. Pictures and more pictures
They burst into the fall-winter and continue to advance. They will arrive in vibrant and contrasting tones and in all sizes, providing a touch of distinction to the new tailoring. If you are looking for a very flattering print for the silhouette, psychedelic and Bulgarian designs -with movement and curved lines- are also on the rise.
7. Glitter and metallic
Metallics are not new but they are still among the “must have”. They appear in details or in a complete version and will be present in different shades in addition to the classic silver. The luxury of shine will also be present in luxury fabrics such as satin and satin for blouses, dresses and even "sporty" pants. We will see them at all times.
8. Genderless and oversized
As in the European catwalks, “genderless” designs have been adopted by Argentine brands and this trend is on the rise. The colors chosen are neutral - with black, deep gray and olive in the top positions - and the sizes are very wide. The "oversize" also has its ultra-feminine version and we will see it in extra-large tailoring and pants. fluids.
