A seven-year-old boy became his mother's saving hero by taking remarkable action against family violence. This one, seeing a heated discussion between his mother and his father, where his mother was being brutally beaten, far from panicking, the little boy decided to act.

She ran out of her house and went to the Caacupé Police Station, asking for help from the uniformed officers who came with the child to the indicated place. The little boy denounced the wrongdoing of his father, who starred in the scenes of violence that pushed him to ask for help.

“In the early hours of the morning, at 00:40, when the first shift outgoing service personnel and the incoming second shift were exchanging guards, a seven-year-old boy who would be the son of the couple made up of the complainant and the defendant. The child stated that his parents were on public roads fighting, arguing and based on these statements the patrol personnel went to the indicated place”, explained one of the police officers involved.

At the scene, the uniformed officers verified that what the little boy denounced was real. They found the boy's father bare-backed, wearing shorts and with signs that an argument was taking place at the scene. To avoid further acts of violence, police officers proceeded to arrest the man.

The uniformed officers were surprised by the boy's action, who at his young age knew very well where to go for help. “The action of the child is remarkable since we presume due to despair itself, he will have woken up at that time of night, because a child at that time is already resting in his house calmly. Then, sure because of the noise or shouting, he got up and since he couldn't do anything he quickly went to the Police, having the notion that if he needs help he should go to the authorities," said the intervener, in communication with SNT.
